Credits but no degree? You are probably considered a transfer student – and that is fantastic!
If you started college in the past, whether it was 5, 10, or even 20+ years ago and you have earned academic credits, you’re likely considered a transfer student when applying to a university. So, if you are seeing articles or posts regarding transfer students, know that you can start again toward earning your degree even though you are not currently enrolled at another institution.
Your past credits could still count.
You may qualify for transfer-specific scholarships and other supports.
Streamlined programs for returning adult learners are likely available.
Minnesota State University, Mankato is an excellent option for finishing your bachelor’s degree as a transfer student with options that include online and/or on-campus. If you started your degree at a community college in Minnesota and want to finish with your former institution, they can get you options for finishing and transferring. The community and technical colleges within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities are a high quality, convenient option for earning an associate’s degree or other credential.
